Divisional Preview, NFC North

The NFL Season is less than three weeks away! As we prepare, I'm going division-by-division to preview this coming season. Today I continue with the NFC North.

Green Bay Packers
The Packers were a stunning 13-3 last season, second best in the NFC. And they did it all in the first season with new Head Coach Matt LaFleur. The Packers didn't do anything to bolster their receivers heading in 2020, and it's fair to wonder if they'll have some struggles. They may have done better in terms of record than their play suggested in 2019.

Minnesota Vikings
The second year with Kirk Cousins saw the Vikings back in the playoffs, where they upset the Saints in the Wild Card round. Now the team enters year three with rookie receiver Justin Jefferson in place of Stefon Diggs, who was traded to Buffalo. Will the offense take a step back? Can Dalvin Cook stay on the field? This will be a question that defines the season for Minnesota.

Chicago Bears
After a great 2018, Mitch Trubisky and the Bears struggled last season. The team fell off to 7-9, missing the playoffs. They added Nick Foles to the QB room, but word in camp suggests Trubisky will still be the starter, at least Week 1. Either way, the Bears need better offensive efficiency.

Detroit Lions
The wheels came off quickly for the Lions. After some unlucky breaks, some unlucky officiating and an injury to Matt Stafford, the Lions plummeted to end 2019. They finished in the cellar in the NFC North, but committed to Matt Patricia for at least one more season. They had a great draft, Stafford is back and they have a talented team. Can 2020 be the year?

NFC North
Lions: 11-5
Packers: 9-7
Vikings: 8-8
Bears: 7-9
