Dynasty Rankings: Top 50 QBs

We're in the midst of the summer, cruising toward the regular season. It seems a good time for me to revisit my dynasty rankings, beginning today with my Top 50 QBs.

QBs:
1. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
: He's simply the best QB in the game.
2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: I love Allen as a producer in fantasy and I think he's still worthy of this spot.
3. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals: Burrow doesn't have Allen's rushing upside, but it was a close call for me between them.
4. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: The first NFC QB on the list, Hurts is a talented player and a dual threat that keeps getting better.
5. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers: I like Herbert and I'm hopeful Kellen Moore will help him take the next step.
6. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson has better weapons this season, can he stay healthy.
7. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars: Lawrence took a big step up in Year 2 and I expect another step forward.
8. Justin Fields, Chicago Bears: Fields was good last year and now has some better passing weapons.
9. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys: Dak has a new offensive coordinator and some new weapons. He's still a solid bet.
10. Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers: Our first rookie. There's a reason Young was the No. 1 overall pick.
11. Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns: It's fair to wonder if Watson can keep shaking off the rust. If he returns to his earlier form, this might be too low.
12. Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts: Our second rookie and a player with big upside.

13. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
14. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
15. Daniel Jones, New York Giants
16. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
17. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings
18. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
19. Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers
20. Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos
21. Mac Jones, New England Patriots
22. Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets
23. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
24. Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints
About:
The QB2 range features some veterans in good situations, some young players who need to prove themselves and some guys who should be in their prime but have injury or performance questions.

25. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
26. Trey Lance, San Francisco 49ers
27. Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks
28. Jimmy Garoppolo, Las Vegas Raiders
29. Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons
30. Sam Howell, Washington Commanders
31. Will Levis, Tennessee Titans
32. Hendon Hooker, Detroit Lions
33. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
34. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
35. Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans
36. Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints
About
: The QB3 range features young players who've yet to prove themselves and aging veterans who could be close to the end. There's some value here but also some risk.

37. Sam Darnold, San Francisco 49ers
38. Tyler Huntley, Baltimore Ravens
39. Zach Wilson, New York Jets
40. Bailey Zappe, New England Patriots
41. Stetson Bennett, Los Angeles Rams
42. Taylor Heinicke, Atlanta Falcons
43. Jacoby Brissett, Washington Commanders
44. Marcus Mariota, Philadelphia Eagles
45. Kyle Trask, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
46. Davis Mills, Houston Texans
47. Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts
48. Mitch Trubisky, Pittsburgh Steelers
49. Drew Lock, Seattle Seahawks
50. Carson Wentz, Free Agent
About:
This final group is little more than deep roster fodder. These are players who could get a chance if there's an injury or are veterans that could serve as a bridge for a few games for a rookie.
