About: As we go to 2024, I'm moving toward the next generation at this position. So, I have LaPorta, Pitts, and McBride atop my rankings, with Kincaid not far behind. These are some of the young guns at tight end, and they've already started producing. Inbetween are some of the great veterans, including Kelce. He could well be the No. 1 overall tight end again in 2024, but he's getting older and we saw signs of him coming back to the pack in 2023. That was enough for me to bump him down a bit. Rookie Bowers, despite not landing in what I'd consider a great location, makes the Top 12 for me. He's the only rookie in TE1 range. Also in the group are some quality veterans, like Kittle, Ferguson, Engram and Njoku.
When we get to the TE2 range (TE13-24) there are guys that could contribute but might not have the top end production. That includes younger players, like rookie Ben Stinott, and veterans like Dallas Goedert and Dalton Schultz who are part of talented and loaded passing games. In the TE3 range (TE25-36) are a mixture of veterans in low-volume slots, guys needing a second chance, and young players who haven't established themselves. Beyond that, rounding out the Top 50, I have a mixture of older veterans who still have some short-term value and young guys who are hoping to step up.
