Wade Ripple: Sometimes, when I lose my temper, I think it's just me trying to tell me something I'm not ready to hear.

Elemental (2023)
Starring
: Mamoudou Athie, Leah Lewis, Wendi McClendon-Covey, and Catherine O'Hara
Director: Peter Sohn
About: This was a fantastic release from last year. I thought 2023 was a year rich in animated films, and Elemental was one of my favorites. It was our yearly release from Pixar, with a unique story and concept and lacking star power in the voice cast. Maybe that's why it went under-the-radar for some many. I have seen the film three times, and it's moved me every time I've seen it. I love the animated style, the voice work from Lewis as Ember and Athie as Wade, and the storytelling. The music is great, too. This is a deeply moving and often beautiful cinematic experience.
