Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Starring:
Paige O'Hara, Robby Benson, Angela Lansbury, and Jerry Orbach
Director: Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise
About: This is a classic tale and one of the classic animated films from Disney. It also happens to be my wife's favorite film of all time, so I've seen it a few times. It was an important film in the genre, too, earning a Best Picture nomination at a time before the animated films had their own category. It's beautifully told and beautifully rendered, with iconic moments and songs. I really enjoyed the live-action version, but there's something special about this animated film. If you've never seen it, it's worth seeking out.
