2024 Broncos' Season, Bye Week
It's the bye week for the Broncos, which means no game. There's a couple of interesting things about this. First, it's Week 14, and the second Sunday in December, which feels late. In fact, it's the latest the bye week can be. Second, the Broncos are 8-5 and hold a two-game lead for the playoffs. That's something we haven't been able to say for more than a decade.
So, with the Broncos coming back next week with only four games left, what can we expect from the rest of the season. Let's take a look at the big things to watch.
- The Playoff Race. The Broncos are in great shape to earn a Wild Card berth. The team can really lock things up with a Week 15 win over the Colts at home. But the Broncos also have the Chargers, Bengals and Chiefs on the schedule. With a few more wins, they could make a run in the AFC West, too.
- Rookie of the Year. Bo Nix has had a great year, but it could get even better. He's been hot of late and is among the front-runners for Offensive Rookie of the Year. A good stretch run could make him an even more favorable pick.
- The Future is Now. On offense, the Broncos have seen prospects take a step forward. How will Audric Estime, Devaugh Vele, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, and Lucas Krull contribute down the stretch? All that could set the Broncos in a great position heading into the off-season and looking toward the future.
It's going to be a fun last four weeks!
