Favorite Westerns, No. 1

Do you like a good Western? It's a classic genre in film and this year I've decided to look at some of my favorite Westerns. So, join me each Friday as I count down my favorite Westerns from No. 50 to No. 1.

Ellis: What you got ain't nothin' new. This country's hard on people. You can't stop what's coming. It ain't all waiting on you. That's vanity.

No Country For Old Men (2007)
Starring
: Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Woody Harrelson, and Kelly Macdonald
Director: Joel and Ethan Coen
About: As we reach the top of this list, I have offered perhaps another unconventional choice. But, for me, it's one of the best films ever made. It's also one of my all time favorites. It's a beautifully crafted film that follows three central characters. It's not your typical Western film, but it definitely fits the genre. I love the back-and-forth of the characters and the exceptional writing, which draws you in and keeps you hooked. I've had a few Coen Brothers films on this list, but this is my favorite. It's a story that grabs you and keeps you hooked all throughout. That's why it is on the top of my list.
