Top 40 Dynasty Tight Ends

The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books and it’s officially rookie draft and start up season. Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be sharing my updated dynasty rankings. Below are my top 40 Tight Ends, broken into six tiers.

Tier 1:

1 Brock Bowers

2 Trey McBride

3 Sam Laporta

About: In the first tier, I have just the top three for me. Bowers, McBride, and LaPorta are the best tight ends, and the best for dynasty. There is a gap for me between these three and the next step down.

Tier 2:

4 George Kittle

5 Tyler Warren

6 David Njoku

7 Colston Loveland

About: Another smallish tier. This one includes two veterans that I like a lot that I expect to produce and two rookies who could quickly vault toward the Top 5 overall. It’s a small group, but this tier combined with the top tier are what I feel are the best tight ends in the game.

Tier 3:

8 TJ Hockenson

9 Tucker Kraft

10 Pat Freiermuth

11 Kyle Pitts

12 Dalton Kincaid

13 Mark Andrews

14 Cade Otton

15 Mason Taylor

16 Travis Kelce

17 Evan Engram

About: Here, we’ve gotten to a bigger tier. There is a combination of types of players here. Some are younger players with good upside who have flashed at times but maybe not consistently produced at a high level. The rest are a few aging veterans who are still in position to contribute at a high level for one to three more years, but they aren’t as good a bet in dynasty anymore. That includes Kelce, Andrews, and Engram. All of them could produce well in 2025, but the countdown clock is on.

Tier 4:

18 Isaiah Likely

19 Brenton Strange

20 Elijah Arroyo

21 Jonnu Smith

22 Dallas Goedert

23 Jake Ferguson

24 Harold Fannin, Jr.

25 Terrance Ferguson

26 Noah Gray

About: This tier is mostly about players with tremendous upside that don’t come without risk. Goedert, Smith, and Jake Ferguson are veterans that are in good spots, but how long will they produce at a high level? And will it be an elite level, or merely a solid starting TE option in 2025. The others are young players, some of whom have competition at the position, that could contribute but aren’t likely to be consistent players in 2025.

Tier 5:

27 Zach Ertz

28 Hunter Henry

29 Juwan Johnson

30 Mike Gesicki

31 Tyler Higbee

32 Chigoziem Okonkwo

33 Dalton Schultz

About: This is a tier of veteran role players at tight end. All of them should be rostered, and they could produce well enough to be a starter or rotational starter. But none is the top option in their passing game, and all come with risk. None of them is a great long-term bet, either.

Tier 6:

34 Ja'Tavion Sanders

35 Cole Kmet

36 Tyler Conklin

37 Noah Fant

38 Ben Sinnott

39 Gunnar Helm

40 Theo Johnson

About: This tier is a mixture of veterans who are placeholders for young players behind them and young prospects that don’t have a clear path to meaningful targets yet. All of these players should be rostered. Some may be occasional weekly plays. None of them are reliable as a starting tight end option in 2025.
