Top 50 Dynasty QBs

The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books and it’s officially rookie draft and start up season. Over the next couple weeks I’ll be sharing my updated dynasty rankings. Below are my top 50 quarterbacks, broken into four tiers.

Tier 1:

Josh Allen

Lamar Jackson

Joe Burrow

Jayden Daniels

Patrick Mahomes

Jalen Hurts

Justin Herbert

Bo Nix

C.J. Stroud

Jared Goff

Jordan Love

Baker Mayfield

About: In Dynasty, this would be the traditional QB1 tier. If you have one of these guys, you’re in good shape. If you have two, you’re ahead of the curve. This group is comprised of a few things. After the Top 6, which are probably the elite stars, we have a group of strong, young guns. I have really come up on Nix, so I have him higher than some. But I like his potential. I end this tier with some veterans who have been solid and are in great offensive situations and long-term contracts.

Tier 2:

Drake Maye

Caleb Williams

Brock Purdy

Dak Prescott

Kyler Murray

Trevor Lawrence

Michael Penix Jr.

Bryce Young

Cam Ward

Matthew Stafford

Geno Smith

Jaxon Dart

Tua Tagovailoa

About: This is the traditional QB2 range. If you’re in Superflex, you need at least one player in the first two tiers if you have any chance of competing. If you don’t have one—or ideally two or three—you’re in trouble. You can make it just having a couple people from this tier, as long as you don’t get any big injuries. This is a group that’s made up of young players still proving themselves and veterans who are nearing the cap on their careers. At the end, I have Tua, who is perhaps the hardest player to rank. He has the talent and age profile to be much higher in this group, or in Tier 1, but he has an injury history that makes him a huge risk.

Tier 3:

Sam Darnold

Justin Fields

Anthony Richardson

J.J. McCarthy

Shedeur Sanders

Kirk Cousins

Tyler Shough

Russell Wilson

Jalen Milroe

Aaron Rodgers

Mason Rudolph

Daniel Jones

About: This is an interesting tier. It can make or break you in Dynasty. Everyone has some guys in this Tier and in Tier 4. This is a tough group. Guys here could be too low or too high. This is populated by a lot of players who are trying to prove themselves—either rookies or veterans who have had a checkered career. We also have a few older veterans who are in their last hurrah. These are good guys to have as your QB3 or QB4 on a team, but hopefully you don’t have to rely on them week-to-week.

Tier 4:

Jameis Winston

Will Levis

Aidan O'Connell

Spencer Rattler

Will Howard

Quinn Ewers

Dillon Gabriel

Jimmy Garoppolo

Mac Jones

Malik Willis

Joe Milton

Andy Dalton

Cooper Rush

About: With few exceptions, this last tier is about backups. Even the rookies here likely profile as sturdy, high-end backups. These guys will likely play at some point in the season, and they may even do well for a week or two, but they’re not reliable starting options.
