2025 Broncos' Season, Week 9
Week 9: Denver Broncos 18, Houston Texans 15
Season Record: 7-2 (4-0 Home)
Key Play: In the fourth quarter, with time winding down, Bo Nix ran for 25 yards, taking the ball to the Texans' 36 yard line. The Broncos hung on to kick a field goal to win.
Recap: There are a few things that good teams, and I mean teams that want to win championships, can't do. They can't have penalties in bad spots. And the offense can't disappear. The Broncos continue to do that this season. Have they gotten away with it? So far, that's the case. But it won't stay that way. The Broncos need to clean it up. They have been a dominant Fourth Quarter Team. That's the good news. And they're 7-2, in first place in the AFC West at the half-way mark. But the offense is still inconsistent. And the team is still the most penalized in the league. Those things MUST improve. I'll take the win, but we need a more complete performance.
Game Balls:
* R.J. Harvey. The rookie hasn't been a huge factor running yet, but he had a big touchdown reception to tie the game. He led the Broncos with five receptions for 51 yards.
* Talanoa Hufanga. The safety was all over the field, a spark plug helping lead to victory.
