Upcoming Releases: March, 2026
We've made it to March. That brings us some of the most anticipated films of the Spring. It's a strong mix of blockbusters and family fare as we move away from the films of 2025 and the Oscars and into a new year. Let's dive in.
Friday, March 6:
The Bride (Theaters): This is another take on the world of Frankenstein, this one from director Maggie Gyllenhaal. This one stars Christian Bale and Academy Award nominee Jesse Buckley. It looks pretty great.
Hoppers (Theaters): This is the latest from Pixar. We've had some animated features in 2026, but this looks like the biggest yet. This should be good for the whole family.
Protector (Theaters): Matthew Modine and Milla Jovovich take the lead in this action thriller. It's a lower end release for the week, but it will fill the void for action film fans.
War Machine (Netflix): Alan Ritchison takes the lead in this new action film. Netflix has had a strong slate the past few years, this could be interesting for action film fans.
Friday, March 13:
Reminders of Him (Theaters): This is the latest adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel. It looks like it will have some poignant emotional moments, but I'm not totally sold on the cast. We'll see if Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers have the right chemistry.
Undertone (Theaters): A low-budget but intriguing horror release from A24. The studio has delivered some interesting films over the years, so this could be a sneaky spring hit.
Friday, March 20:
Project Hail Mary (Theaters): This is based on the Andy Weir novel and features a cast led by Ryan Gosling. This is the biggest release of the month, and one of the biggest of the year so far.
Ready or Not 2 (Theaters): A sequel to the fun horror film starring Samara Weaving. This one ups the action and brings in a whole new all-star cast. It looks like a lot of fun.
The Pout-Pout Fish (Theaters): This is a new animated film based on the best-selling book series. It has a good voice cast and figures to be a good one for the whole family, timed well for the Spring Break time frame.
Forbidden Fruits (Theaters): This is another horror entry from IFC/Shudder. This has a fun hook and a good young cast led by Lili Reinhart and Alexandra Shipp. This could be fun for the horror fans.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (Netflix): This is a film continuation of the popular series. Cillian Murphy is back. This gets a small theatrical run earlier in March before dropping on Netflix, home to the series.
Friday, March 27:
They Will Kill You (Theaters): We end the month with another big horror release. This one is set in a dangerously weird hotel and finds Zazie Beatz trying to survive. It looks like a fun ride.
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice (Hulu): This is an action comedy set in the world of organized crime. The rumor is a time machine is also involved. It features a strong cast, including James Marsden, Vince Vaughn, and Jimmy Tatro. This could be a fun one on the streamer.
