Dynasty Rankings: Top 25 QBs

We’re into the new league year and have seen major movement among veterans. We’re still a bit away from the draft, where rookies will start to shake up the standings. But this is start up season. So, if you’re looking to jump into dynasty, it’s time to take stock of the players available. Below is my Top 25 Dynasty QBs, divided into six tiers.

Tier 1:

No. 1: Josh Allen
About:
Allen has moved into a tier of one for fantasy. He’s got tremendous rushing and passing upside and has been immune to missed time. Maybe that changes, but for now he’s a rock-steady lock at quarterback. So far, he’s the only one.

Tier 2:

No. 2: Drake Maye
No. 3: Patrick Mahomes
No. 4: Joe Burrow
No. 5: Lamar Jackson
No. 6: Justin Herbert
About:
This is a good group of quarterbacks. If you have one of these, they’re locked in as your starter. If you have two, you should be dominating in Superflex. Maye is the biggest riser, but making the Super Bowl and being the runner-up for MVP in year two will do that. Mahomes and Burrow remain solid as passers, even if they don’t have the rushing upside. Jackson has QB1 upside, but he’s changing Head Coaches and schemes, and he’s been an injury risk. Herbert, meanwhile, is rock-solid in the regular season. He might even be under-rated for fantasy.

Tier 3:

No. 7: Caleb Williams
No. 8: Jayden Daniels
No. 9: Bo Nix
No. 10: Jordan Love
No. 11: Brock Purdy
About:
Some young guns here. Williams is still ascending, and Daniels has a higher ceiling. But there are still questions for both. Williams needs to keep growing and get more accurate. Daniels needs to stay healthy and get a better supporting cast. Nix feels like he’s in the right system to maximize his upside. Love is a curious case. Some think he has MVP upside, but he needs more consistency. Purdy has struggled with injuries, but he’s a stable performer with upside when he’s out there. If you have one of these guys, you feel good about your QB situation.

Tier 4:

No. 12: Jalen Hurts
No. 13: Baker Mayfield
|No. 14: Trevor Lawrence
No. 15: Dak Prescott
No. 16: C.J. Stroud
No. 17: Jaxson Dart
No. 18: Jared Goff
About:
This is an interesting group. Many in this group have upside to finish in the Top 12 in any given year. But they aren’t without risks, either due to age, injury, play style, or situation. The most fluid feels like Hurts. He has Top 5 upside, but we’ve seen some real peaks and valleys. It’s not clear how solid his position is with the Eagles, either. That gives me pause. Dart is another player some have much higher. His small sample size, injury risk, and change of coaching staff and scheme gives me pause.

Tier 5:

No. 19: Cam Ward
No. 20: Sam Darnold
No. 21: Bryce Young
No. 22: Matthew Stafford
About:
Stafford is here simply because of his age. He has one or two great years left. For Dynasty, that puts a cap on his value. But he has Top 12 upside for 2026. The rest are guys who’ve shown flashes and have potential in their current situation but feel like far from locks. Is that unfair to Darnold, who just won a Super Bowl? Maybe. But he still doesn’t feel like a lock for great, long-term production. He’s a solid QB2, but that’s where I leave it.

Tier 6:

No. 23: Kyler Murray
No. 24: Tyler Shough
No. 25: Daniel Jones
About
: This is an interesting tier to wrap up the Top 25. Murray and Jones are veterans who’ve shown promise but are trying to rehab their careers in their current stop. Murray is re-building with the Vikings, while Jones is coming back from a major injury trying to sustain a turnaround in Indianapolis. Shough, meanwhile, took a step forward to end his rookie year and is locked in as the Saints’ starter in 2026. What about beyond that? It’s unclear if any of these three will be locked in as starters in 2027 or beyond.
