2026 Broncos' Season, Draft Recap

The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books. While the Broncos didn't have any picks in the first two rounds, they still found a way to grab value with the seven picks they made over the course of the draft. Below is a look at the selections.

Tyler Onyedim, DT, Third Round: This was the Broncos' first pick, taken at the top of the Third Round. It certainly fills a critical need. The Broncos lost depth on the defensive line and could use an influx of young playmakers to make a difference. That seems to be what they're getting with Onyedim, who could compete for a starting spot opposite Zach Allen.

Jonah Coleman, RB, Fourth Round: The Broncos used the first of two Fourth Round picks on Coleman, the running back out of Washington. He might not have a huge impact in 2026, but the comparison Sean Payton drew to J.K. Dobbins indicates he could be a long-term answer along with R.J. Harvey to lead the Broncos' rushing attack.

Kage Casey, OT, Fourth Round: The second of the Fourth Round selections was used on Casey, who provides some depth at tackle for the Broncos. The hope is he can compete to be a swing tackle and provide depth for the Broncos' offensive line.

Justin Joly, TE, Fifth Round: The Broncos' other skill position of need was tight end. The team waited until the Fifth Round, but snagged a promising prospect in Joly. He was one of two players at the position taken in this draft, but I like his upside as a receiver.

Miles Scott, S, Seventh Round: After sitting out the Sixth Round, the Broncos had three late picks in the Seventh Round. They used the first on Scott, another position of need after P.J. Locke left in free agency. Scott should compete to add depth behind Brandon Jones and Talanoa Hufanga.

Dallen Bentley, TE, Seventh Round: The second tight end selected, it will be interesting to see how Bentley fits into a suddenly crowded tight end room. He was taken with the penultimate pick in the draft. The Utah product gives them another shot at more production at tight end.

Red Murdock, LB, Seventh Round: Murdock was this year's Mr. Irrelevant, the final pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He fills a need at linebacker in the middle, and could end up being a vital pick as part of the Broncos' 2026 Draft Class.

Overall it was a solid draft for the Broncos, who added 13 undrafted free agents as well. That included WR Dane Key, one of five receivers, along with two lineman, two linebackers, three in the secondary, and a second long snapper.
