2026 Broncos' Season, Pre-Season Week 3


Pre-Season Week 3: Denver Broncos 34, Minnesota Vikings 6
Pre-Season Record: 2-1 (1-1 Home)
Key Play: In the Fourth Quarter, with the Broncos up 20-6, Sam Ehlinger connected with Cody Schrader on a 14-yard touchdown pass on Fourth and 2 to give the Broncos a 21-point lead. They never looked back.

Recap: After a rough showing in the second pre-season game with the Packers, the Broncos looked better all around on Friday. The team was in command throughout, with Jarrett Stidham getting them out to a lead before Sam Ehlinger brought it home. The Broncos dominated both halves and made some big plays. It's tough because some good playmakers from Friday didn't make the 53-man roster, which was announced Sunday. But hopefully some will be part of the Practice Squad and will be part of the future. Still, it was a good way to wrap up the pre-season and get the squad ready for the regular season against the Chiefs on September 14.

Game Balls:
* Sam Ehlinger. The No. 3 quarterback earned a spot on the 53-man roster with a great showing, throwing for 233 yards and three touchdowns.
* Cody Schrader. The back won't make the initial active roster, but he showed out as a runner and receiver on Friday.
* Justin Joly. A surprise cut on Sunday, Joly had an 88-yard touchdown in the game that showed his potential upside.

Thoughts: There were some surprises here. I was bummed that Joly didn't make the initial roster, and there are some depth issues. It seems likely Mitchell Fraboni and Adam Prentice will be on the Practice Squad to start the season but quickly elevated. I'm hopeful Schrader, Joly, and some of the young receivers will return, too. Hopefully the Broncos will make the most of the Practice Squad to build depth and look toward the future of what should be a strong season.

  It’s Christmas week, and you might find yourself looking for some distractions in the form of new shows to check out. But which are worth checking out?   It was an interesting week for new releases in theaters. Below is my take on the two big theatrical films from the weekend. Boy Kills World (Theaters) Starring : Bill Skarsgard, Jessica Rothe, Famke Janssen, Brett Gellman, and Michelle Dockery Synopsis : We have seen a lot of action films this year. Many have featured violent sequences, but some have been more artful than others. The new film, Boy Kills World, provides plenty of violence. It’s right there in the title.
