  Week 13 : Houston Texans 22, Denver Broncos 17 Season Record: 6-6 (4-3 Home) Key Play : In the Fourth Quarter with 15 seconds left, trailing 22-17, Russell Wilson fired into the end zone and was intercepted by Jimmy Ward, which ended the game. Recap: The Broncos came in with the league's longest win streak and came out with a loss. The Broncos are 6-6 as their playoff hopes too a blow. The loss game to the Houston Texans, one of the teams the Broncos are trailing in the playoff race. It was an ugly game where the defense didn't get turnovers and gave up some big plays. The team also suffered several turnovers, including three interceptions from Russell Wilson. The Broncos have two more road games, at the Chargers and at the Lions, before coming back home on Christmas Eve. It will be crucial they get at least one win to keep their playoff push alive.   Hard to believe it but we’ve made it to Week 13 of the NFL Season. We have six teams on a bye, the penultimate week for byes in the 2023 NFL Season. Below are the five games on the Sunday slate that have me most bullish for this crucial Week 14. Early Games: Detroit Lions (8-3) at New Orleans Saints (5-6) About: This is a crucial game for both teams as we come down the stretch of the season. The Lions lost on Thanksgiving and haven’t looked sharp for a couple weeks. They’re still in first in the NFC North, but they want to end the season on a solid note and earn a top seed. The Saints, meanwhile, were in first in the NFC South until a big loss to the Falcons last week. The Saints have slipped below .500 and need a win to get back to even and remain in contention for a division title and the playoffs. This should be a good matchup. Denver Broncos (6-5) at Houston Texans (6-5) About: This is a battle of the No. 8 and No. 9 teams in the AFC. Both are above .500 and both are fighting...

  We've reached the final month of the year. That means we're getting some year-end blockbusters and plenty of awards bait films. It's truly the most wonderful time of the year for film fans. Let's dive in. Friday, December 1: The Shift (Theaters): A modern sci-fi story that draws inspiration from The Book of Job. This feels like a niche kind of film. Silent Night (Theaters): Joel Kinnaman stars as a grieving father who heads into the under-world to avenge his son. It's a different kind of year-end tale. Godzilla Minus One (Theaters): Another Godzilla film, this time outside of the modern monsterverse and hailing from Japan. It's a bit of seasonal counter-programming. Renaissance (Theaters): It worked for Taylor Swift, why not for Beyonce. It's another concert film.   We made it through Thanksgiving weekend and got a slew of new releases. But what of them were worth checking out? See my thoughts on the week’s big new films below. Genie (Peacock) Starring : Melissa McCarthy, Paapa Essideu, Alan Cumming and Marc Maron Synopsis: The latest holiday release comes from writer Richard Curtis, who gave us Love Actually 20 years ago. This isn’t the same kind of film, but if you’re feeling nostalgic you could watch Love Actually again. Instead, this is a broad comedy about a husband and father (Essideu) who is down on his luck. He stumbles on a magic box and a Genie (McCarthy) who helps him get his priorities straight and reunite with his family. All this takes place around the holidays in New York.
