The Tebow Era Begins

I loved watching Tim Tebow play in college. I actually like the Florida Gators — I have for as long as I can remember — so I saw him play a lot. Then I started reading about his story, his life, and what he stands for, and I was even more impressed. One of my favorite things about watching Tebow in college was the Bible verses he would put in his eye black.

The NFL isn't big on those kind of things, so thankfully we have Facebook. Yesterday, prior to making his first start for the Denver Broncos, Tebow wrote Psalm 23:4 on his Facebook page. It was fitting since he was making his first start in the Black Hole in Oakland.

Those that watched the game for Tebow likely weren't totally disappointed. In the first quarter he had a 40-yard touchdown run and a 33-yard touchdown toss. He breathed life into a limp franchise that's just wrapping up the season.

It was fun to watch him playing, but a little frustrating to see the coaches wouldn't let him really do anything. There's time for that — hopefully the next two Sundays.

But what I like about Tebow most is his passion and the way he carries himself. And it was cool to see that verse go up on his page Sunday even if he couldn't wear it on the field.

Broncos Draft Targets

  The NFL Draft is just a few days away. On April 25, the Denver Broncos will head into the draft in the midst of something of a rebuild. In the draft, the Broncos have the No. 12 pick in Round 1, then have a Third Round Pick, Fourth Round Pick, three Fifth Round Picks, a Sixth Round Pick, and a Seventh Round Pick. So, what might they be targeting? Let's dive in and look at possible positions. Quarterback : The team clearly needs a long-term quarterback. Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci are there but the team could certainly use someone else. Could they move up for Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy? Yes, they could. Will the take Bo Nix at 12? It's possible. Or will the Broncos wait until next off-season to make a move? Anything is in play for the Broncos in 2024, but quarterback is surely a need.
