Mother's Day

Today is Mother's Day. It's amazing, as I reflect, how far we've come in a year. On May 12, 2011, I was awoken early in the morning to a phone call. It was my sister saying my mom had a heart attack and was in the hospital. That day was one of the scariest of my life.

In some ways, it's fitting that Mother's Day weekend has fallen on the one year anniversary of that day. A year ago, as I sat in the hospital waiting for news, I reflected on the thought that I don't know what I'd do without my mom. I still don't. But I thank God that he has brought renewed health and strength, and that my mom is still here.

No matter how old a boy gets, he still needs his mommy. I'm grateful I still have mine.

Broncos Draft Targets

  The NFL Draft is just a few days away. On April 25, the Denver Broncos will head into the draft in the midst of something of a rebuild. In the draft, the Broncos have the No. 12 pick in Round 1, then have a Third Round Pick, Fourth Round Pick, three Fifth Round Picks, a Sixth Round Pick, and a Seventh Round Pick. So, what might they be targeting? Let's dive in and look at possible positions. Quarterback : The team clearly needs a long-term quarterback. Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci are there but the team could certainly use someone else. Could they move up for Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy? Yes, they could. Will the take Bo Nix at 12? It's possible. Or will the Broncos wait until next off-season to make a move? Anything is in play for the Broncos in 2024, but quarterback is surely a need.
