Emmy Picks






The Emmy Awards do not impress me. They aren't that fun to watch and, man, people complain about the Academy Awards being out of touch with audiences — Hello Emmys! That being said, I still like making picks. Just don't expect them to be awesome. Below are the major categories (read no mention of Reality (completely contrived) TV). I will pick who I think will win, and who should win.

Outstanding Drama

Will Win: Breaking Bad, because the voters LOVE this show and LOVE AMC.
Should Win: Homeland. It was the best new drama and best drama period. Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones were good too, but Homeland was incredible.

Will and Should Win: Claire Danes, because she MADE Homeland.

Will Win: Giancarlo Esposito, because he was good and critics LOVE Breaking Bad.
Should Win: Peter Dinklage, who consistently turns in amazing performances in Game of Thrones

Should Win: Kristen Wiig, who is hilarious and versatile. She will be missed on SNL.

Broncos Draft Targets

  The NFL Draft is just a few days away. On April 25, the Denver Broncos will head into the draft in the midst of something of a rebuild. In the draft, the Broncos have the No. 12 pick in Round 1, then have a Third Round Pick, Fourth Round Pick, three Fifth Round Picks, a Sixth Round Pick, and a Seventh Round Pick. So, what might they be targeting? Let's dive in and look at possible positions. Quarterback : The team clearly needs a long-term quarterback. Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci are there but the team could certainly use someone else. Could they move up for Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy? Yes, they could. Will the take Bo Nix at 12? It's possible. Or will the Broncos wait until next off-season to make a move? Anything is in play for the Broncos in 2024, but quarterback is surely a need.
