Visiting Disneyland



"Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.”

The last time I went to Disneyland was in May 2003, when I graduated from college. On Saturday, I had a chance to see Disneyland again — with my wife, and as an adult the first time. It was as fun and magical as I remember.

I think the thing I took away as an adult is what a wonder Disneyland really is. It celebrates America — it's different culture and themes. Many of the rides have a historical significance. Others are based on beautiful stories. It truly is a magic Kingdom. It transports you to other places, times, and worlds. It is a place that celebrates America, celebrates families, and allows us to remember the importance of fun. Coming on the heels of a conference that reminded me that the Christian walk is about fun, this was a beautiful time of fun and escape.

And a whole lot of Mickey...

Biggest disappointment: It's A Small World was closed...
Most fun: The second trip down Splash Mountain with Lindsay. We got soaked!
Favorite Part: Lunch at the Blue Bayou Cafe!
Best Discovery: the Fast Pass. It was glorious to skip long lines.

Broncos Draft Targets

  The NFL Draft is just a few days away. On April 25, the Denver Broncos will head into the draft in the midst of something of a rebuild. In the draft, the Broncos have the No. 12 pick in Round 1, then have a Third Round Pick, Fourth Round Pick, three Fifth Round Picks, a Sixth Round Pick, and a Seventh Round Pick. So, what might they be targeting? Let's dive in and look at possible positions. Quarterback : The team clearly needs a long-term quarterback. Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci are there but the team could certainly use someone else. Could they move up for Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy? Yes, they could. Will the take Bo Nix at 12? It's possible. Or will the Broncos wait until next off-season to make a move? Anything is in play for the Broncos in 2024, but quarterback is surely a need.
