Upcoming Releases — May


Though it is currently snowing and in the low 30s here, I am assured the Summer Movie season begins in seven days. We've made it to May folks. Let the good times role.

Friday, May 6:
Captain America: Civil War — This begins phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and things will never be the same. Our heroes will be squaring off, and I think more than feelings will get hurt. I'm #TeamIronman all the way, but I can't wait to see this first summer blockbuster.

Friday, May 13:
Money Monster — You don't often see George Clooney and Julia Roberts starring in a film directed by Jodie Foster during the summer movie season, but that's what we get here. Plus a film that promises to be a somewhat scathing look at our financial markets.

The Darkness — Summer is good for three things — action blockbusters, big, broad comedies, and low-budget horror films. This is that third option.

Friday, May 20:
The Nice Guys — This is the latest action/comedy from writer/director Shane Black. Starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe, this could be one of the sneaky big hits of summer. Can't wait.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising — This sequel to the film "Neighbors" promised a lot more outrageous laughs. This if the first big time comedy of the summer.

Angry Birds — Based on the popular game, this has an amazing voice cast. I feel like this is going to be one of those summer movies that's as much fun for adults as kids.

Friday, May 27:
X-Men: Apocalypse — And you thought things couldn't get more dire than the last "X-Men" movie. You were wrong. Bryan Singer is back as director, and this reunites the "First Class" cast again, possibly for the final time for some of the bigger stars. This looks to be a great summer blockbuster.

Alice Through The Looking Glass — This is a follow up to Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland." The cast is back — including Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter — but we have a new director. Still looks like a fun film for the summer.

Broncos Draft Targets

  The NFL Draft is just a few days away. On April 25, the Denver Broncos will head into the draft in the midst of something of a rebuild. In the draft, the Broncos have the No. 12 pick in Round 1, then have a Third Round Pick, Fourth Round Pick, three Fifth Round Picks, a Sixth Round Pick, and a Seventh Round Pick. So, what might they be targeting? Let's dive in and look at possible positions. Quarterback : The team clearly needs a long-term quarterback. Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci are there but the team could certainly use someone else. Could they move up for Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy? Yes, they could. Will the take Bo Nix at 12? It's possible. Or will the Broncos wait until next off-season to make a move? Anything is in play for the Broncos in 2024, but quarterback is surely a need. Tight End: The team brought back Adam Trautman and still has Greg Dulcich, but it's still a need. Dulcich hasn't been able to get on the field and Trautman hasn't been great. Co

  Do you like a good Western? It's a classic genre in film and this year I've decided to look at some of my favorite Westerns. As you might guess, we're not done. As I've mentioned, he sets a standard for the genre. Here, we seen him bring to life an iconic character. This one is based on a novel, and it has endured.
