2016 Broncos Season, Roster Projections

We have one week of preseason in the books, and just a few more weeks until the Broncos' first cut down from 90 to 75. A few days later, they cut to the final 53. Each week until then, I'll make my roster projections.

Quarterback (3):
* Mark Sanchez
* Trevor Siemian
* Paxton Lynch

The Broncos will keep all their quarterbacks. That feels close to a led, pipe lock.

Running Back (3):
* CJ Anderson
* Devontae Booker
* Ronnie Hillman

Hillman could be on the bubble, but I think the Broncos keep all three here.

Fullback (2):
* Andy Janovich
* Juwan Thompson

Thompson's flexibility as an RB or FB, plus his Special Teams prowess, helps him here.

Wide Receiver (6):
* Demaryius Thomas
* Emmanuel Sanders
* Bennie Fowler
* Cody Latimer
* Jordan Taylor
* Kalif Raymond

I think Fowler, Latimer and Taylor make it for depth, and Raymond makes it as a returner. That leaves Jordan Norwood as the odd man out.

Tight End (3):
* Jeff Heuerman
* Virgil Green
* Garrett Graham

I like Heuerman as a sleeper here, and don't sleep on Green.

Offensive Line (9):
* Russell Okung
* Donald Stephenson
* Matt Paradis
* Ty Sambraillo
* Max Garcia
* Michael Schofield
* James Ferentz
* Connor McGovern
* Dillon Day

I think the Broncos take extra depth here and focus on the run.

Defensive Line (6):
* Sylvester Williams
* Derek Wolfe
* Jared Crick
* Adam Gotsis
* Darius Kilo
* Vance Walker

A couple injuries in this unit have made depth an issue, and I think the Broncos play it conservatively.

Linebacker (8):
* DeMarcus Ware
* Von Miller
* Shane Ray
* Shaq Barrett
* Brandon Marshall
* Todd Davis
* Zaire Anderson
* Corey Nelson

This is a strength of this defense, and this unit is very deep.

Secondary (10):
* Chris Harris, Jr.
* Aqib Talib
* Bradley Roby
* Kayvon Webster
* Lorenzo Doss
* Taurean Nixon
* Darian Stewart
* TJ Ward
* Justin Simmons
* Will Parks

I think Shiloh Keo's suspension leaves him off the roster. The Broncos like their young corners and safeties.

Special Teams:
* Brandon McManus
* Riley Dixon
* Casey Krieter

I think Britton Colquitt is the odd man out here. He's been an average punter the past few seasons who is paid like an all pro.
