2018 Broncos' Season, Week 7

Week 7: Broncos 45, Arizona Cardinals 10
Season Record: 3-4 (2-2 Home)
Key Play: In the first half, with the Broncos leading 7-0 thanks to a Todd Davis INT return for a touchdown, Emmanuel Sanders took a handoff, rolled out and hit Courtland Sutton on a 28-yard touchdown pass to put the Broncos up 14-0. The route was on.

Recap: On Tuesday, Von Miller said the Broncos were gonna kick the Cardinals behinds. He, of course, used a different word. It was an unexpected and brashly confident statement from the Broncos' best player, and one we don't usually hear. Coming off a four-game losing streak and a woeful defensive stretch that saw the Broncos give up more than 200 yards rushing to a single rusher two games in a row. Would Von's words inspire his team? We found out early on Thursday, as the Broncos' defense played with intensity. They scored two defensive touchdowns, something not done since 1989, and the offense strung to life, too. The team delivered on Von's promise, delivering a stirring and convincing win against a team that, at 1-6, is clearly several notches below them. The question is, will this inspire them moving forward, or is it a one week reprieve? We'll know soon enough as the Broncos travel to battle the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 28.

Game Balls:
* Emmanuel Sanders.
He became the first Broncos' receiver to have a receiving, rushing and passing touchdown as he threw one to Sutton and caught one from Case Keenum.
* Phillip Lindsay. The rookie continues to look electric at times, rushing for a 22 yard run onhis first carry and later adding a 28-yard touchdown scamper.
* Chris Harris, Jr., and Todd Davis. The two Broncos registered INTs returned for touchdowns as part of the win.
* Von Miller. He didn't just make a guarantee, he backed it up. Von had five QB hits, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery, finally looking like the Defensive MVP he did Week 1.

Lingering Questions:
* What about the Future.
The Broncos were incredible Thursday. Is this a sign of things to come? Let's hope so.
* Case Keenum. He threw for just 161 yards, partly because of the score and game flow, but completed just 14-of-21 passes and threw an INT for the seventh straight game. He still doesn't look comfortable.
