2018 Broncos Season, Week 11

Week 11: Broncos 23, Los Angeles Chargers 22
Season Record: 4-6 (2-3 Home)
Key Play: In the fourth quarter with 16 seconds left and trailing by two, Case Keenum connected with Courtland Sutton on a 30-yard pass to set up the go ahead field goal from Brandon McManus to win the game.

Recap: The Broncos had a bye week in Week 10, and though they didn't make any big changes, the team came back ready to fight. And we saw that on Sunday. The Broncos bent but didn't break early, and were able to get a few turn overs from Phillip Rivers, while Keenum was interception free for the second straight game. Those are all positive signs. And the Broncos were able to keep it close, commit to the run, and run well. Those are also good signs. The defense was able to hold a potent offense in check, limiting them to 22 points, and the team was able to get a big road win. So this is a team that could make some noise down the stretch. And in an AFC with a lot of teams fading, it's actually still not out of the realm of possibility that this team could sneak into the playoffs. That's a shocking statement considering what we've seen. And I still think it's a long shot. But I'm more hopeful now than I was two weeks ago. The next big challenge is Sunday, when the Steelers come to town. We shall soon see.

Game Balls:
* Phillip Lindsay.
He continues to impress. Eleven carries for 79 yards and two TDs, plus four receptions for 27 yards. He is the engine that drives our offense.
* Bradley Chubb, Von Miller, Chris Harris. This trio powers our defense. Chubb has been an impressive rookie, adding another sack. Miller, too, added a sack and a key interception. And Harris added an interception, too, that helped lead to the Broncos' win.

Lingering Questions:
* Team health.
The Broncos have suffered quite a few injuries, and health will be a key issue.
* Youth Development. The Broncos have a youth movement, and the development of Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, Royce Freeman, Lindsay, Josey Jewel and Isaac Yiadom will be key to how far this team can go.
