Here's a look at the new movies I saw this week.

Zombieland Double Tap
Starring:
Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin, and Rosario Dawson
Synposis: It's been a decade since "Zombieland" burst onto the scene. That film gained popularity as time went on, making it a cult classic. And it was long rumored there would be a sequel, but it never happened. There was an attempt to make a TV series, but that didn't take. Now 10 years later, the sequel is finally here. And it's everything you could have hoped for if you're a fan. All four of the original stars are back, and it feels like we never left. The humor and easy rapport are still there. Added to the mix are fun additions like Dawson, Zoey Deutch, Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch. There's even a fun surprise celebrity cameo at the end. The opening also has plenty of winks and nods to the audience, and the sequel has plenty of winks and nods to the past history of this world and the cannon of zombies. It still isn't a deep or complicated film, but it's a lot of fun. And better yet, Stone, Eisenberg and Harrelson seem to be having fun with it, which makes it even better. This is a worthy follow up to the original and one that proves to be worth the wait.
Rating: R for bloody violence, language throughout, some drug and sexual content.
Verdict: Three stars out of four.

Upcoming Releases:
Friday, October 25:
"Black and Blue," "Countdown"
