2020 Broncos' Season, NFL Draft Day 3

After making a splash on Thursday and Friday with five selections in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft, the Broncos had five more picks in the final four rounds on Saturday. Following the draft, the Broncos also added seven additional undrafted free agents. That has always been a big part of how the Broncos build their team, so let's look at the 12 new faces that joined the party on Saturday.

Albert Okweugbanum, TE, drafted Fourth Round
Big Albert played with Drew Lock at Missouri, and he's a receiving weapon. Some had him listed as the best receiving tight end in the draft. The curious thing about the pick isn't his ability or the potential as a weapon, but that it wasn't a position of need. In fact, the Broncos drafted Noah Fant last year and signed Nick Vannett this off-season. The team went into the draft with eight tight ends on the roster, so big Albert leaves the team with nine now.... But he's a big, fast weapon who posted 98 receptions for 1,187 yards and 23 TDs in three years. And now he's part of the Broncos' building arsenal.

Justin Strnad, LB, drafted Fifth Round
The Wake Forrest product was listed as an outside linebacker, but he figures to play inside in the Broncos' system. He produced 244 tackles, eight sacks, four interceptions and three forced fumbles over his college career, adding depth and youth to the front seven for the Broncos.

Netane Muti, OG, drafted Sixth Round
The Broncos reportedly had a Third Round grade on Muti, a big, talented guard who struggled with injuries. He slipped to the top of the Sixth Round, and the Broncos pounced. They add a body to the offensive line and someone for coach Mike Munchak to mold as they look to get going faster and stronger on offense.

Tyrie Cleveland, WR, drafted Seventh Round
The Broncos' final two picks in the draft were among the final four picks in the draft, period. Much like the UFAs below, these last two picks are development players that the Broncos took to see if they can find some gems. Cleveland snagged 79 passes for 1,271 yards and eight TDs. He's a raw talent, so the Broncos will see how he fits as they re-make their receiver group.

Derrek Tuszka, EDGE, drafted Seventh Round
A three-year starter at North Dakota State, Tuszka was the last pick for the Broncos in the draft and the penultimate pick of the draft in general. He's a raw talent that should add another speed rusher for the Broncos. He was a defensive end in college but figures to be an OLB in the Broncos' system.

Undrafted Free Agents:
Riley Neal, QB, Vanderbilt

Neal played four years at Ball State before transferring to Vanderbilt for his final year. He threw for just 1,585 yards, nine TDs and threw five INTs. But it adds another QB for the Broncos. Drew Lock is the starter and Jeff Driskel was signed as the backup. The Broncos also still have Brett Rypien, and have typically kept just two on the active roster, so we'll see where that goes.

LeVante Bellamy, RB, Western Michigan
For the first time in a while, the Broncos didn't draft an RB. But they signed Bellamy as a UFA, and he joins a group paced by Melvin Gordon, Royce Freeman and fellow UFA Phillip Lindsay. Bellamy really exploded as a fifth-year senior, rushing for 1,472 yards and 23 TDs. Adds another weapon competing on offense.

Zimari Manning, WR, Tarleton
Receiver was a position of focus and need for Denver, and they took two in the NFL Draft. They also took two UFAs, including Manning, who dominated at a small school. In two years, he had 112 receptions for 2,409 yards and 34 TDs. That gives the Broncos yet another speed option as they make over their receiving group.

Kendall Hinton, WR, Wake Forrest
Hinton converted from quarterback to play receiver his final year at Wake Forrest. In that season he caught 73 passes for 1,001 yards and four TDs. That makes him an interesting prospect joining a now deep receiver group.

Hunter Watts, OL, Central Arkansas
Watts is the third offensive lineman added by the Broncos in the last three days. It's still a position of need, and Watts gives the Broncos another prospect and another bite at the apple.

Essang Bassey, DB, Wake Forrest
Another Wake Forrest prospect, Bassey was four-year player and three year starter. He grabbed five interceptions, including three as a sophomore. He gives the Broncos depth and a prospect in the secondary.

Douglas Coleman III, S, Texas Tech
The Broncos have been known as a team that finds gold in UFAs and gets them on the roster, and in the early going there is some thought Coleman could be that next great find. He had 11 interceptions in college including eight as a senior. This feels like a good find for the Broncos post-draft.
