2021 Broncos' Season, Pre-Season Week 2

Pre-Season Week 2: Broncos 30, Seattle Seahawks 3
Pre-Season Record: 2-0 (0-0 Home)
Key Play: In the first quarter, facing a fourth down with the game tied at 0-0, Teddy Bridgewater connected with Jerry Jeudy on a 35-yard pass to set up First and Goal. The Broncos scored and never looked back.

Recap: For the second week in a row, the Broncos bludgeoned their opponent, this time recording a 30-3 win in Seattle. The Seahawks also didn't play many of their starters and the Broncos did, so it's a bit misleading. We also didn't get any clear separation in the QB battle. Bridgewater started and looked solid on his touchdown drives. Drew Lock came in behind a backup line that wasn't as in synch and looked OK. The coaches also elected not to go for it on Fourth Down plays and called a much more vanilla scheme, so it's hard to say it was apples to apples. Neither quarterback made a mistake, but Lock didn't have many splash plays. The same with other competitions, as we didn't see many splash plays from receivers trying to make the team or much of a big showing from Damarea Crockett as he tries to catch or surpass Royce Freeman. It was a solid and efficient game, and the Broncos have some talent and depth. Those are all good signs, but it's a question about who plays where, and this second week of the pre-season didn't seem to answer many of those questions. The final game of the pre-season is Saturday against the Rams, and the Broncos need to come up with answers soon.

Game Balls:
* Teddy Bridgewater.
The veteran was efficient, going 9-for-11 for 105 and leading two TD drives.
* Royce Freeman. Freeman is trying to make the team, and leading the Broncos in rushing with 27 yards and receiving with 5-44 Saturday is a good way to make that happen.
* DeShawn Williams. The defensive tackle was a beast Saturday, recovering a fumble and making an interception for Denver.

Lingering Questions:
* Who is the Starting Quarterback
. The Broncos have two candidates and neither has a clear cut advantage. The Broncos need to figure that out soon.
* Big Play Offense. The Broncos have a lot of weapons and will need to put up points, but will it happen?
