2022 Broncos' Season, Draft Targets

The NFL Draft is just days away. The fun in Las Vegas begins on Thursday, but the Broncos don't pick until Friday. The team doesn't have a First Round pick, but the Broncos do have nine total picks. It will be important to come away with impact players and depth. Here's a few positions I think the Broncos will target.

Running Back: The team has just three backs on the roster currently. Javonte Williams is a budding star and should be the lead back. He'll likely be incredible, but this is about depth. Mike Boone and Damarea Crockett aren't enough. I expect the Broncos to use a pick, possibly as high as the Third Round, to grab a complimentary piece in the backfield.

Tight End: The Broncos traded Noah Fant to get Russell Wilson. It made sense, and the Broncos aren't bereft of talent. I like Albert Okwuegbunam, and I think he could be a solid starter and contributor. Beyond him, the Broncos have mostly blocking options. I think the team grabs another option in the middle rounds, possibly even taking Trey McBride in the late Second or early Third Round.

Offensive Line: The Broncos have options as starters and some depth. You can never have enough. If a great tackle prospect falls to them, the Broncos should pounce.

Linebacker: I like Baron Browning, Josey Jewell and Justin Strnad. That's a great start. The Broncos could still use more depth and playmaking in the middle. This could be a target in the Third or Fourth rounds.

Secondary: The Broncos have great Top End talent in the secondary with Patrick Surtain, K'Wuan Williams and Ronald Darby at Corner, and Justin Simmons, Caden Sterns and Kareem Jackson at safety. You can always use more talent and depth, especially at corner. I expect the Broncos to take a look at this.
