Games of the Week

We are in the 10th week of the NFL season, and the race for the post-season is heating up. We’re starting to see contending teams pull away while those who don’t have enough are fading. This week presents many interesting matchups on Sunday. Below are the five I’m most interested in seeing.

Early Games:

Houston Texans (4-4) at Cincinnati Bengals (5-3)
About:
The Texans have been one of the biggest surprises of the NFL Season. Behind the Rookie of the Year candidate in C.J. Stroud, they’re 4-4 and in the race for a Wild Card spot. The Bengals, meanwhile, came in as Super Bowl contenders but struggled early thanks to an injury to Joe Burrow. Burrow is healthy now, and the Bengals have won four straight. They are chasing the Ravens and want another win at home to keep marching toward a return to the post-season.

New Orleans Saints (5-4) at Minnesota Vikings (5-4)
About:
The Saints are 5-4 and leading the NFC South. They’ve had an uneven offensive season but have started to put it together of late. The Vikings, meanwhile, started slowly and clawed their way back. Along the way, Justin Jefferson left with a hamstring injury and Kirk Cousins was lost with an Achilles injury. Josh Dobbs came in and got the win in Week 9, can he do it again? Or will the Saints keep marching toward a division title.

San Francisco 49ers (5-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (6-2)
About:
The 49ers started hot, looking like possibly the best team in the league. Then they hit a rough spot and lost three straight heading into a bye week. The Jaguars, meanwhile, started slowly but rallied to move to 6-2 heading into the bye. Both teams are rested and both teams are hungry for a win. Who will start the second half out strong?

Cleveland Browns (5-3) at Baltimore Ravens (7-2)
About:
The AFC North features four teams above .500. The Browns have had an up-and-down season, but with Deshaun Watson back, the team is poised to go on a run. The Ravens, meanwhile, are tied for the best record in the AFC with Lamar Jackson playing like an MVP candidate. This is a crucial battle in the division, especially since the Ravens beat the Browns in Cleveland already once this season.

Late Games:

Detroit Lions (6-2) at Los Angeles Chargers (4-4)
About:
The Lions have had a hot start to the season, moving to 6-2 and taking a lead in the NFC North. The Chargers, meanwhile, have been alternating wins and losses in pairs all season. After two straight wins, the Chargers are back to .500. Can the team go over .500 for the first time all season, or will the Lions continue their march toward the post-season? This is the best of the late games.
